STD Symptoms

STDs are silent, do not have any symptoms until develop some complications. The STD symptoms can range from subtle to obvious. If the symptoms are present, they may include one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Discharge from the penis, urethra, vagina or anus (vaginal discharge may have a strong odor). The color of discharge may be white, yellow, green or gray.

  • Painful urination or burning during urination.

  • Headache, muscle aches, joint pain, fever and chills.

  • Painful sex.

  • Small red bumps, rash, blisters, sores or warts on the penis, vagina and anus or mouth.

  • In women: Bleeding from the vagina other than during a monthly period.

  • In men: Pain and swelling of the testicles.

  • Severe genital (penis or vagina)and /or anal itching or irritation.

  • Swelling or redness near the penis or vagina.

  • Stomach pain.

  • Skin rash.

  • Extreme fatigue and weight loss, night sweats, low-grade fever.

  • Yellowing of the skin.

  • Tiredness, loss of appetite.

  • Lower abdominal pain.

  • Swollen lymph glands in the groin.
